Global technology services leader adopts Oracle’s AI-powered recruiting platform to scale hiring operations across 60+ countries and advance its enterprise AI workforce strategy.

A Critical Area of Transformation

As enterprises increasingly look to apply artificial intelligence across core business functions, talent acquisition is emerging as a critical area for transformation. Cognizant has selected Oracle Fusion Cloud Recruiting to support a more AI-driven approach to hiring, leveraging embedded AI, automation and agentic capabilities to streamline recruitment and support workforce growth across more than 60 countries.

The move reflects a broader trend among global enterprises seeking to modernise talent operations using intelligent platforms that can improve hiring efficiency, enhance candidate experiences and provide the scalability needed to support rapidly evolving workforce requirements.

AI Moves from Business Operations to Talent Acquisition

As one of the world’s largest technology services providers and AI builders, Cognizant faces the challenge of attracting, hiring and retaining talent at global scale. With a workforce of more than 350,000 employees and continued growth ambitions, the company required a recruitment platform capable of supporting both standardised global processes and local hiring requirements.

Following an evaluation process, Cognizant selected Oracle Fusion Cloud Recruiting, part of Oracle’s Human Capital Management (HCM) suite, citing its embedded AI capabilities, flexibility and ability to support enterprise-scale recruitment operations.

“The candidate experience is often the first interaction people have with our organization, and we needed a recruiting platform that could deliver a more seamless and engaging experience while giving us the flexibility to build AI capabilities that align with our business objectives. Oracle stood out for its ability to deliver all of this within a unified platform,” said Roshan Subudhi, senior vice president, Enterprise Platform Services, Cognizant.

Building an AI-Native Recruitment Function

The deployment will enable Cognizant to automate recruiting workflows and introduce more intelligent candidate engagement processes through Oracle’s embedded AI capabilities.

Beyond standard recruitment automation, Cognizant also plans to leverage Oracle AI Agent Studio to develop custom AI agents aligned to its specific business processes. The platform enables organisations to build, connect and manage AI agents and agentic applications that can operate across enterprise workflows.

The initiative highlights how organisations are increasingly moving beyond generative AI experimentation toward operational AI deployments embedded within critical business functions.

For technology leaders, recruitment is becoming a strategic use case for enterprise AI, offering opportunities to improve workforce planning, reduce time-to-hire and enhance talent acquisition outcomes at scale.

Enterprise AI Platforms Gain Momentum

The decision also underscores growing demand for integrated enterprise platforms that combine AI capabilities with core business applications.

Oracle has continued to embed AI functionality across its Fusion Cloud Applications portfolio, spanning ERP, HCM, supply chain and customer experience solutions. Rather than deploying standalone AI tools, organisations are increasingly looking to leverage AI directly within operational workflows where business value can be realised more quickly.

“Organizations with a vast footprint like Cognizant need AI-powered solutions that can scale globally and help them build a future workforce,” said Nagaraj Nadendla, senior vice president, HCM product development, Oracle.

“With Oracle Recruiting, Cognizant can take advantage of a unified recruiting platform with embedded AI to improve hiring efficiency, enhance candidate engagement, and support its long-term growth.”
