Apple Unveils New Comprehensive Business Platform

Apple introduces Apple Business – a brand-new all-in-one platform that enables organizations of all sizes to manage devices, streamline operations, and expand customer reach across Apple services.

UNIFYING APPLE’S STRONGEST BUSINESS OFFERINGS

Apple has introduced Apple Business, an integrated platform designed to help organizations manage devices, support employees, and connect with customers more effectively.

Bringing together a range of essential services, the platform allows companies to oversee devices, deploy apps, and access expert support within a single, secure environment. Built-in mobile device management (MDM) enables businesses to configure employee groups, settings, security, and applications with ease, while Blueprints provide a fast, standardized way to get started.

The platform also introduces business email, calendar, and directory services linked to a company’s own domain, supporting seamless communication and collaboration.

In addition, Apple Business aims to help organizations expand their visibility across Apple Maps, Mail, Wallet, Siri, and more. A new feature launching this summer will also allow businesses in the US and Canada to place local ads within Maps during key search and discovery moments.

Apple Business will be available from April 14th in more than 200 countries and regions.

“Apple Business is a significant leap forward in our decades-long commitment to helping companies of all sizes leverage the power of Apple products and services to run and grow,” comments Susan Prescott, Vice President of Worldwide Developer Relations and Enterprise and Education Markets.

“We’ve unified Apple’s strongest business offerings into one simple, secure platform, delivering key features for organizations in every stage and sector, including built-in device management, collaboration tools, and additional ways to reach new customers.

“We can’t wait to see how Apple Business helps companies spend more time focusing on what they love and connecting deeply with their communities.”

BUILT-IN MOBILE DEVICE MANAGEMENT

Apple Business incorporates native MDM capabilities, giving organizations a centralized view of devices, configurations, and operational settings.

Previously offered through Apple Business Essentials in the US, the new platform simplifies IT management, particularly for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) without dedicated IT teams.

Blueprints enable preconfigured device setups, ensuring consistency and security while supporting zero-touch deployment so employees can begin using devices straight out of the box. Additional options include upgraded iCloud storage and AppleCare+ for Business support. A companion Apple Business app allows employees to install work apps, access colleague contact details, and request assistance while on the move.

The platform also expands Apple Business Manager availability globally and introduces enhanced features such as Managed Apple Accounts, which separate work and personal data through cryptographic protections. Integration with identity providers like Google Workspace and Microsoft Entra ID additionally enables automated account creation.

Organizations can structure teams with customizable roles, distribute apps through the App Store, and leverage an admin application programming interface (API) to streamline large-scale deployments.

PRODUCTIVITY AND COLLABORATION

Apple Business introduces integrated email, calendar, and directory tools to support professional communication from day one.

Companies can use an existing domain or purchase one through Apple, helping establish a consistent brand identity. Features such as calendar delegation and a built-in company directory simplify scheduling and internal connectivity, while personalized contact cards enhance employee interaction.

DISCOVERABILITY IN MAPS

Apple Maps continues to serve as a key discovery tool for users searching for local businesses.

Starting in the US and Canada, companies will be able to create ads within Maps via Apple Business, which will appear in search results and within a new Suggested Places feature, highlighting relevant and trending locations based on user activity. All ads will be clearly labeled, maintaining transparency.

Apple has emphasized its privacy-first approach, confirming that user location data and ad interactions are not linked to Apple Accounts. Personal data, meanwhile, remains on-device and is not shared with third parties.

Businesses must first claim their location on Maps before accessing ad functionality. Once available, ad creation will be streamlined through an automated process, while existing Apple Ads users can continue to manage campaigns with additional customization options.

BRAND AND LOCATION MANAGEMENT

Apple Business consolidates brand management tools previously found in Apple Business Connect into a single interface.

Companies can maintain consistent branding across Apple services by managing logos, names, and key information centrally.

Rich place cards allow customization with images, open hours, and detailed location data, visible across Maps, Safari, and Spotlight.

Additional features include showcases for promotions and seasonal offers, as well as custom actions such as pre-ordering or reservations. Businesses can also access location insights, tracking how users discover and engage with listings.

Branded communication extends to Mail and Wallet, enhancing visibility through consistent presentation.

Meanwhile, Tap to Pay on iPhone enables businesses to display their branding during transactions, helping build customer trust at the point of sale.
